I grew up in Dallas and went to Lake Highlands High School in Richardson ISD. I was a member of the swim team for both my high school and a club team. I was taught the values of time management, as well as making achievable goals to make myself a stronger person. Upon graduation, I attended community college and worked full time for the YMCA as a swim lesson instructor and other various positions. After about a year, I transferred to Sam Houston State.
I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2007 with a Bachelor's of Science in Academic Studies with a specialization in Special Education. I spent two years teaching at Lynn Lucas Middle School before taking a break to pursue other interests. I quickly realized that teaching was were my heart lies. This year will be the start of my fourth year in education. As I come back to the family of Lynn Lucas, I will be working with all children as a Co-teacher in the English Language Arts classrooms. My goals are to inspire all children to learn and let their creativity shine!
Many of you may know my wife Mrs. Ashley Soose, we have been married since 2011. We also have a daughter and are expecting to complete our family this October with the birth of our son. In my free time, I enjoy leisure reading, boating, and the company of good people.
One of the reasons I chose to get a degree in Special Education is I grew up with a disability, and I had many teachers along the way that gave me great strategies to help me through school, and I want to give back to the students to make them Successful in all that they do in their Life.
I am excited about this upcoming year and the new students that will be walking through our doors and getting to know each and everyone.
