Tardies

Students are expected to be in the classroom ready to begin class when the tardy bell rings. On the fourth through sixth tardy to class the teacher will assign after school detentions. An effort will be made to notify a parent by phone, and a copy of the letter will be sent home with the student for parent signature. On the seventh tardy and any subsequent tardies, the student will be referred to the assistant principals’ office. The referral may result in Friday After School Detention or more severe consequences. The tardy process starts over at the beginning of the second semester. Multiple referrals for tardiness will be considered a severe problem and will be handled as such following the Student Code of Conduct.
